Library Assistant

Contract- Permanent

Hours- 29.5 per week 

Salary- NJC Grade C £23,500 - £23,893 pro rata

Blackpool's eight libraries are at the heart of their communities and play a vital role promoting literacy, enabling digital access, supporting customers with enquiries and providing a safe and welcoming place for residents. 

The post will be based primarily at Palatine Library and will include working every Saturday. There is a requirement to work at any library in Blackpool within your working hours when needed.

About you:

• You thrive on working in a busy customer focused environment.
• You have a good working knowledge of ICT and ability to assist customers with digital services.
• You would enjoy getting involved in library activities and events for customers of all ages, including Baby Bounce & Rhyme, author visits and social groups
• You have an enthusiasm for books and reading
