Are you ready to make a difference to children in the Bolton area?
We are looking for Social Workers to join our Ofsted "Good" rated Safeguarding service here in Bolton’s Children’s Services Department. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic practitioner with the ability to build professional relationships with children and their families.
You will be an excellent communicator, efficient in time management, report writing and completing assessments as well as a strong team player who values the strength of working in a person-centred manner. All roles require social workers to be able to write reports to a good standard and deliver accurate and concise information verbally and possibly in court.
We offer good management support, managers are based in the same building and are available for informal discussions/supervision in addition to formal supervision.
Our social workers are passionate about working with children and families and supportive to one another.
All newly qualified social workers (NQSW’s) are entitled to a supported and assessed year in employment (ASYE) that is designed to ensure that they have opportunities to develop as professional social workers and to ensure that they have a fair chance to show their capabilities. NQSW’s will be subject to a 12 month probationary period to support completion of ASYE. Further information on the ASYE can be found at WWW.skillsforcare.org.uk/asye.
Progression to Grade 9 for existing Grade 8 Social Workers in Bolton will be achieved by successful completion of the Post Qualification Specialist Award or the Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice (or equivalent).
