Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship?
I chose to do an apprenticeship as I didn’t think college was for me. I liked the idea of learning new skills whilst on the job and receiving a qualification at the end of it.
What skills do you feel you have learnt/developed so far?
I have definitely developed my communication skills, I also feel as though my confidence is growing each day.
Can you describe what being a Rochdale Council apprentice is like in three words?
Rewarding, opportunity and motivating!
What are you most proud about when thinking of your apprenticeship journey so far?
The one thing I’m most proud about is how far I’ve come since starting in January. I feel as though my confidence skills have grown wider and if it wasn’t for this apprenticeship I wouldn’t of had the opportunity to make this happen.
Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others? And if so, why?
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship as I think they are a great opportunity to be earning whilst you’re learning at the same time. If you don’t think university if for you or college then I would definitely suggest this pathway!
