HLTA/Playleader - It is expected that one person will take up both roles:
HLTA
Salary: Grade 6, £19,874 - £21,931 per annum.
30 hours per week, term time plus one week working 39 weeks per year
Playleader
Salary: Grade 4, £1,147 - £1,203 per annum. £12.84 - £13.47 per hour
2 hours per week, term time plus one week working 39 weeks per year

St Wilfrid’s CE Primary Academy and St Wilfrid’s Trading Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the Academy, wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Play Leader to work both in school and in after school ‘Kidz Klub’.
The ‘Kidz Klub’ provides a wide variety of experiences and activities for children aged 3 11 both before and after school. Children are organised into separate Key Stage groups and the successful applicant will be expected to work with both age ranges.
It is expected that one person will take up both roles
The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of the educational needs of children.
The main duties of the post are:
- To plan how to support the inclusion of children in learning activities.
- To monitor children’s responses to activities and modify approaches accordingly.
- To provide specialist support to children with barriers to learning on a one to one basis, in a small group or in the classroom.
- To feedback to the teacher as appropriate.
- To use effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
- To accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities and take responsibility for a group as may be reasonably directed.
- To deliver local and national learning strategies.
- To produce lesson plans and adjust as appropriate.
- To support after school care across the school.
Flexibility is essential;-
The hours of work will initially be;
Monday 8.45am to 3.15pm (HLTA) one hour lunch
Tuesday 8.45am to 3.15pm (HLTA) one hour lunch and 3.15pm to 4.15pm (Play Leader)
Wednesday 8.45am to 3.15pm (HLTA) one hour lunch and 3.15pm to 4.15pm (Play Leader)
Thursday 8.45am to 3.15pm (HLTA) one hour lunch and 3.15pm to 4.15pm (Play Leader)
Friday 8.45am to 3.15pm (HLTA) one hour lunch and 3.15pm to 4.15pm (Play Leader)
