Your Role

Stockport Learning Disability Opportunities Together Service provide a range of support services to adults with a learning disability who may have additional health and/or complex behavioural support requirements. The service is committed to providing strength based, outcome focused support, which is person centred, to ensure individuals have the opportunity to:

  • live well
  • develop independence, to achieve their own personal ambitions and aspirations.
  • experience activities that can improve lifestyle choices, health and wellbeing

We are currently seeking to recruit support workers who are passionate about supporting adults with learning and complex needs.

About You

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the right values, which include a commitment to work within team/s, follow our practices, policies and procedures.

You must have the availability and flexibility to work irregular hours such as early mornings, evenings, weekends and nights. You will need experience of working with people with disabilities this can be in either a paid, voluntary or personal capacity.

Although you will be allocated individuals to work with, you may also be asked to work in other locations as the service requirements dictate. In all roles you must be punctual and reliable.

We will give you all the training and support you need, to develop your knowledge and skills in the role. There is also a rolling mandatory training programme that you will be required to attend throughout your employment.
