About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to help protect public health and safety across housing, food safety, environmental protection, and public health.

You’ll carry out inspections, investigate complaints, and take enforcement action where needed from housing standards to pollution, noise, and food hygiene. You’ll also provide expert advice, represent the council in court when required, and work with partners to deliver real impact in the community.

What you’ll need:
Degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent)
CIEH registration (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of environmental health legislation & enforcement
Experience in inspections, legal processes, and partnership working
Excellent communication skills and a full driving licence
