Are you ready to lead the future of Facilities Management across a diverse and dynamic estate?

Bury Council is seeking a motivated and skilled professional to take charge of Facilities Management across its corporate estate. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring significant expertise, strong leadership, and a proactive mindset to develop and implement strategies that meet the evolving needs of our buildings and services.

You’ll oversee budgets, drive strategic planning, and champion health and safety initiatives making a real impact on how our estate operates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee FM operations across Bury Council’s corporate estate
  • Ensure statutory compliance through testing and certification
  • Manage digital FM platforms and smart building technologies
  • Control revenue and capital budgets for operational sites
  • Support and deliver health and safety strategy across the FM service

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.

Flexi scheme is in operation, working hours are 37 per week based in Bury Town Hall.
