Salary: Grade  H2, £33,799.00 - £37,849.00 per annum

SALARY MATCH: Candidates who are recruited from the same or similar role may be eligible for a salary match within the above salary banding.


Reablement Occupational Therapist

Blackpool Council Homecare Service is currently looking for an experienced dedicated Reablement therapist to work in Blackpool as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Homecare Manager, the Reablement Therapist will provide specialist therapeutic person-led assessments and interventions for adults with a variety of needs.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality and legally compliant social care practice to agreed standards and NICE Guidance. To maximize the independence and wellbeing of adults. You will also contribute to the mentoring and coaching of the Reablement Team.


What you will need to succeed

  • Relevant experience of working in the service/professional area, with evidence of work responsibilities appropriate to the role
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary and partnership working and awareness of the issues involved
  • Knowledge of the relevant range of procedural and legislative frameworks, systems and initiatives
  • Proven assessment and investigation skills appropriate to the scope of the role, Ability to carry out complex client assessments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • ICT skills including use of Microsoft applications
  • Relevant professional qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with Health and Professional Council (HCPC)
