Devonshire Primary Academy
Contract: Temporary (31/08/2024)
Hours: 15 hours per week, Term Time only
Salary: SVT Grade D SCP7-11 £22,369 - £24,054 per annum, pro rata
Closing Date: 29th September 2023 12.00 Noon
Devonshire Primary Academy wish to appoint two temporary Additional Needs Teaching Assistants (ANTA) at Level 2 to provide learning support to pupils facing barriers to learning. These posts are to work in our Preschool with children who have been assessed as requiring 1:1 support. In addition to supporting these children, the candidates appointed must be flexible and respond to the needs of the wider team as appropriate and as instructed by their Line Manager.
The positions available are temporary contracts and will terminate in accordance with the notice period when either: i) the child you are contracted to work with leaves school or ii) the child you are contracted to work with has their individual needs reviewed and the 1:1 statemented support is no longer required. At this stage, we would hope that we are in a position to offer an alternative ANTA post, as we have previously, but this could not be guaranteed.
The successful candidates will be passionate, innovative and flexible and want to make a difference to the lives of our children. They will fully engage children in their learning and make a positive contribution to the delivery of quality learning experiences for the children they work with. The successful candidates must have relevant primary school experience and be able to demonstrate an understanding of children’s educational development throughout the relevant age range. We would be interested to hear of previous experience in a 1:1 role, as well as any curricular strengths or areas of expertise/interest.
For full details please see the candidate pack, which is viewable by clicking on the Job Description link below.
Visits to the academy are encouraged and have been scheduled for Thursday 21st and Tuesday 26th September at 9:30am and 3:30pm.
