There has never been a better time to join Lostock College, as we are an expanding Secondary School with an increasing number of students on roll. We are gaining a reputation for excellence in education and have become a first choice school for parents in the local area. We want all of our students to achieve their potential and we make sure that there are no limitations or barriers to reaching the highest possible standards of academic, social and personal development.

We have a hugely talented and committed staff team to make sure that our curriculum, guidance, care and support meets the different needs of every young person, and we pride ourselves on having high expectations. Our students are well organised, supportive of each other and personally ambitious.

We wish to appoint outstanding Teaching Assistants with the potential to further develop our highly successful and highly regarded SEND department.

We are seeking to recruit Teaching Assistants to join our SEND Base or Small Learning Community providing support for students with special educational needs throughout their curriculum experience.  You will be a designated Teaching Assistant working at Key Stage 3 with a number of our students within specialised curriculum provision and you will support students in the classroom.

We will be looking for commitment to improving life chances for young people, as well as commitment to your own professional development. Our school is a lively and exciting place to work. We truly live by our motto of Inspire, Transform, Succeed.

You will be well supported by the SEND and Learner Services Teams who are focused on teaching and learning, and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure your individual needs are met.

We are totally dedicated to providing the very best opportunities for our students to ensure that we inspire confidence, transform learning and succeed to compete with the best.
