Job Title: Senior System Support & Policy Officer

Salary: Grade G, Scp 23 £27,741 to Scp 27 £31,346 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent


The Role:


As a Senior System Support and Policy officer you will ensure the effective delivery of policies and procedures through training, guidance and quality assurance.  You will assist with the compilation of the subsidy claim and contribute to council tax and housing benefit year ends.  You will support, design, maintain and develop systems within revenues, benefits and customer services to meet changing business needs.  You will also be responsible for encouraging team working and giving feedback on performance and progress.   


About You:


You must have practical experience and knowledge of revenues and benefits legislation and administration.  You will have the ability to interpret new legislation and understand its impact on the service and translate that into guidance and training.  You will have a detailed knowledge of revenues, benefits and customer services IT systems and the ability to acquire technical skills relating to this.  The ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships to support other team members and maintain a good team environment is essential.
