We are looking for an exceptional researcher to pursue a career with a dynamic, exciting and socially responsible employer. This is a senior role as a Lead Analyst within the research team, delivering evaluations and acting as a key liaison for our Ageing Hub and ageing strategic priority.
Key areas of responsibility include the delivery of evaluations which primarily support the ageing agenda, but also help to embed evaluation techniques and practices across the team. This includes the Ambition for Ageing (AfA), £10.2 million Greater Manchester (GM) wide initiative aimed at creating more age friendly places and empowering people to live fulfilling lives as they age. The post holder will also act as a liaison point for wider policy relating to ageing , working in partnership with the Centre for Ageing Better and sit on the University of Manchester Urban Ageing Research Group and helping to increase the visibility of ageing research within the wider economic and reform agenda of the Mayor and Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
You will have experience of working in research related field, strong analytical capabilities in both quantitative and qualitative research. Experience of undertaking evaluation methodologies is highly desirable. You will have a keen interest in current debates on demographics, equality, public service reform.
We are also looking for a candidate that can apply new data analytics and visualisation techniques to provide a better understanding of datasets and intelligence.
You will have strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with a good understanding of a range of research methods. This will be complemented by project management skills and a desire to make a difference.
You will be able to disseminate findings to a range of audiences and to build relationships with key stakeholders through the use of good communication skills.
