Tameside is an attractive place to live, offering a good quality of life, with easy access to Manchester city centre as well as to the Peak District and this is reflected in the rapid take up of new housing developments. The potential of the housing market is generating significant interest from residential developers and the Council is determined to accelerate the delivery of new residential developments across the borough, including affordable homes.
We are looking for a Housing Delivery Lead to provide leadership and management of new housing development programmes, accelerating delivery and helping to maximise the use of Council assets.
You will be experienced in leading and managing housing development programmes with a successful track record in working with private/public sector partners to deliver new housing developments. You will be experienced in land assembly, appraisals, land negotiations and developing and delivering projects that generate capital receipts and income. You will be experienced in overseeing stakeholder engagement and community consultation for new residential developments, and skilled in communicating with a wide range of audiences. You will provide strong project management and governance, with organisational, analytical and prioritisation skills.
