The Council has an exciting pipeline of major development and regeneration projects and programmes which will help to deliver on these aims and ambitions. Current priority major programmes include Stalybridge Town Centre Challenge, Godley Green Garden Village, Ashton-under-Lyne town centre developments and the Housing Delivery Plan.
We are recruiting to the new post of Head of Major Programmes to lead the delivery of this important programme, leading and managing the Major Programmes team and providing robust governance on projects and programmes.
You will drive site development and delivery through the use of the Council’s assets, land acquisition and assembly, negotiation of development delivery models and managing key relationships with multiple public and private sector partners, stakeholders and colleagues. You will be experienced in leading and delivering major economic growth projects and housing development programmes, including land assembly and the development of delivery models and partnerships. You will have a successful track record of project and programme delivery across town centre regeneration, commercial and residential developments. You will be experienced in leading complex negotiations to deliver major projects and overseeing stakeholder engagement and community consultation for major developments. You will have good communication, organisational, analytical and prioritisation skills. You will motivate and energise your team to deliver at pace and communicate well with colleagues, stakeholders and partners.
