The town centre of Stalybridge has exciting potential, with historic architecture, a river and a canal running through the centre, a growing cultural offer, a semi-rural location with great rail links to Manchester and Leeds and a large catchment area. In 2018 Stalybridge was agreed as Tameside’s town centre for the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Town Centre Challenge, an ambitious initiative to regenerate urban centres across Greater Manchester, securing priority and profile for the regeneration of Stalybridge town centre. The Stalybridge partnership board has commissioned a strategy and action plan to drive the renaissance of the town centre and the Council is supporting investment and pursuing funding to secure delivery of the vision for Stalybridge.
This is an exciting time in the regeneration of Stalybridge and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced project manager to help realise the potential of the town centre through the development and delivery of the action plan.
You will understand the opportunities for town centre regeneration, economic growth and housing development. You will be experienced in project development and management of a range of complex regeneration and development projects, with a sound and systematic approach to project and programme management. You will be skilled in working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, with colleagues and contractors.
