Salary: Grade 8, £28,785 - £32,878 per annum

The Events team is a key function within the Public Relations Service and this role will help support the development and delivery of key events designed to promote the council’s ambitions as set out in the Deal 2030.
Working closely with the events manager and the council’s public relations team you will develop, deliver, coordinate and promote key events using the council’s communication channels and deliver high profile events to generate footfall and drive vibrancy into our town and district centres.
You will build effective working relationships across all Council services, key partners, the voluntary and community sector to help in driving vibrancy through events to our town and district centres, and local communities.
The role works very closely with key services in Environment, Economy and Resources Directorates linked to culture, tourism and economic regeneration. You will operate a virtual/project team approach to key strategy events as required.
Educated to degree level, you should be able to demonstrate excellent event management experience, with a strong background in curating and delivering events. You will be highly organised, energetic and able to make difficult decisions. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent decision-making and organisational skills. You will be creative, innovative and possess excellent financial and resource management skills.

The Public Relations team plays a key role in supporting the delivery of the council’s ambitious corporate strategy, the Deal 2030.
With a new five-year arts and culture strategy and an ambitious town centre regeneration framework, the council is now looking to build an events team that can help curate and deliver events that support these strategies and the long term vision for the borough to be a place where people want to live, work, visit and invest.
