Hours: 36.66 per week

Based: Fleet Management, Moorhey Street, Lees, Oldham, OL4 1JF

Role Overview:

Working within the Council’s Fleet Management Service, you will be required to test Hackney Carriage, Private hire vehicles, Private motor vehicles and all Council owned vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for testing in accordance with Oldham’s Compliance testing standards and D.O.T testing standards.
  • To complete all relevant paperwork and online systems keeping them up to date at all times.
  • To ensure that safe working practices are observed at all times in accordance with departmental policies and the Health and Safety at work act.

Key Requirements: 

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Experience of testing Hackney carriages, Private hire and Private motor vehicles to relevant standards.
  • Ability to complete all paperwork and databases to required standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in working order.
