Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, split shift 7am to 10am and 2.15pm to 6.15pm, all year round, 25 days’ holiday)

Salary: £26,403 - £28,142 per annum
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a maintenance role.
- Is practical, with a hands-on approach to site maintenance and minor repairs.
- Has knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Is flexible and proactive, with good problem-solving skills.
- Is a team player who values working collaboratively to support the school's needs.
- Has knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.
As Caretaker, you will work closely with the Business Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the school premises.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety, security, and overall condition of the school site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Site maintenance and repairs, including regular site inspections.
- Health and safety compliance, adhering to health and safety guidelines and maintaining accurate records.
- Security, opening and closing the school site, monitoring access and respond to any emergencies (out of hours and weekend work in exceptional circumstances).
- Being available for work out of hours.
- Porterage and cleaning, assisting with furniture moves, room setups for events, and cleaning, as well as supervising the cleaning team.
- Seasonal tasks, including clearing leaves, snow and ice to ensure safe walkways and carrying out premises and grounds checks.
