Your Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Stockport Events Team as an Events Assistant, supporting the delivery of an exciting and ambitious events programme across some truly stunning venues; including Stockport Town Hall, Bramall Hall and Chadkirk Chapel. No two days are the same, and you’ll be right at the heart of bringing events to life.

You’ll be a key part of the team, acting as a first point of contact for customers and clients, answering enquiries and helping events run smoothly from start to finish. Working alongside Hospitality Supervisors and Event Coordinators, you’ll help deliver events for up to 500 guests, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, lively environment.

Your role will include a mix of front of house, behind the scenes and event delivery tasks, such as:

  • Bar and food service
  • Event set-up and clear-down
  • Event stewarding and guest support
  • Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries
  • Making reservations and providing reception cover
  • Supporting client viewings
  • Assisting with event delivery
  • First aid provision
  • General cleaning duties

This role involves evening, weekend and bank holiday work, with some late finishes after midnight, perfect for someone who enjoys flexible working and being part of live events.

Applicants must be 18 or over.

About You

You’re friendly, confident and great with people the kind of person who enjoys creating positive experiences and getting stuck in. You’re self-motivated, reliable and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, even when things get busy.

It is important that you want to work in the Events industry, and whilst experience is preferred, it's not essential.

You’ll bring a professional attitude with a warm, approachable manner, and while experience in hospitality or events is a bonus, your enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter just as much.
