The role will involve the planning, delivery, assessment and moderation of part-time adult Counselling courses from Level’s 1 to 4. We welcome applications from those working in the industry, unqualified/newly or recently qualified, as well as established teachers.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Professional and academic competence / qualifications to teach on the qualifications.
- Use of e-learning platforms such as Equal, Google Classroom and others or the willingness to learn
Key Accountabilities:
- To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard
- To assess accurately learners work, both formative and summative, against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications, which may include work placement visits
- To teach online lessons (where appropriate) as well as teaching in our centres, including outreach across the city as needed, this may involve the occasional evening class
- To have excellent digital skills to support learners to actively engage in their programme of learning and develop key workplace digital standards
- To take part in team meetings and working groups
- To take personal and professional responsibility for keeping up to-date in the subject area.
