Join us at Stockport Council MJ Local Authority of the Year 2025 Your Role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Stockport’s Fostering Service. You will be joining a well-established, successful service who welcome creativity and innovation. The service has within it three teams: the Connected Carers team, the Recruitment and Assessment team, and the Support and Supervision team. This vacancy is within the Connected Carers Team. Tasks include Supporting and Supervising Kinship Foster Carers, facilitating Support Groups and assisting with Duty tasks which include undertaking Viability Assessments and Regulation 24 Assessments. Regular supervision and training and development opportunities are provided for all staff members. About You You will have a Social Work qualification and be registered with the Social Work England. Ideally you will be an experienced supervising social worker or have transferable skills from working closely with Kinship Foster carers and or Foster Carers. Ideally you will have experience of Kinship Care arrangements which include Special Guardianship Orders. You will need to be flexible in your approach to working hours and meeting the needs of the service.
