PASTORAL OFFICER - Required as soon as possible
Band 5: SCP 19 to 22 (£27,576 - £28,985 actual salary)
To work 36.25 hours per week (5 days), term time plus 1 week
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:15am-4:00pm
Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm
Friday 8:15am-3:45pm
Including a 30 minute unpaid break

We are looking to appoint a person to provide high-quality, day-to-day pastoral care and support for all students within a designated year group, working closely with the Head of Year to ensure students' wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and engagement enable them to achieve their full potential.

The Pastoral Officer will be the day-to-day point of contact for pastoral and behavioural matters, building strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies to create a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment.

Successful candidates will need to be able to build relationships with students and their families in order to provide support to the year group.

We are looking for candidates who:
Have a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths
Ideally have experience of working with or caring for children aged 11 to 16
Can work constructively as part of a team and is highly organised
Have good communication skills in order to build strong relationships
