The Governing Body at Springside Special School are seeking to appoint 2 suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced individuals into the role of Teaching Assistant Level 1 (+)

The successful candidates will be working directly with pupils with complex additional educational needs, across all phases of our school; Nursery Year 6. Successful candidates will be expected to work across any of the Springside sites, as required.

Applicants must possess or be willing to work towards GCSE English and Maths at grade A* - C, or GCSE level 4 -9, or GCSE level 4-9 or a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or CSE Grade 1 in English and Maths.

Applicants must also possess or be willing to work towards a Level 2 qualification QCF (or NVQ prior to 2010) in Teaching and Learning.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Springside is a new-build special school co-located with a mainstream primary school. Informal visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
