Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 19 - 24 £32,061 - £35,412 per annum

Blackpool Council is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Engineering Services team as a Trainee, Assistant, or Project Delivery Officer. This is a great opportunity to develop your career while helping deliver vital construction and highways projects across the town.

What You’ll Do

 Support or manage the delivery of construction and highways projects, assist with or prepare contract documentation, bills of quantities and tenders
Contribute to programme planning, budgeting and resource management , carry out site visits, risk assessments and ensure compliance with CDM and H&S regulations. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders and provide technical input into the design and implementation of engineering schemes

About You Depending on the grade, you will bring:

Level 2/3 qualifications (Trainee/Assistant) or Level 4 HNC/HND (Officer)
Good communication, IT and organisational skills
Experience or knowledge of highways, construction or engineering (more substantial for Officer level)
A full driving licence (required for all levels)
IOSH Managing Safely and NRSWA Supervisor Accreditation (essential/desirable depending on grade)
