If you wish to apply for this role on a secondment basis, you must seek your manager’s agreement before formally applying The Family and Friends Team (Blackpool’s Family Group Conferencing service) is accredited with the Family Rights Group. A Family Group Conference is a family led meeting in which the family and friends network come together to make a plan for a child or young person. The process is a strengths based solution focused approach to support the family to produce a plan to support the child/young person. The role of the Family and Friends Coordinator is to work with children, young people and their families to identify wider family and friends who can offer them support. In Blackpool we also use Family Group Conferencing as part of our Life Long Links offer for children and young people who have lost contact with family, carers, friends, neighbours when they became a child in our care.
