New Bridge Multi Academy Trust is a specialist MAT dedicated to supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our mission “Learning together, learning for all, learning for life” drives our commitment to ensuring every young person is successful, valued, and equipped for fulfilling futures.

The Executive Headteacher leads two dynamic SEMH specialist settings:

Springboard Project (Oldham Town Centre) an innovative post-16 provision (ages 14-19, extending support to age 25) focused on overcoming barriers, achieving Level 2/3 qualifications, vocational pathways, employability skills, and meaningful work experiences.

Spring Brook Academy (Failsworth) a specialist SEMH school supporting younger learners with trauma-informed, constructivist approaches to meet complex needs.

This is a pivotal support role providing high-level, confidential administrative and organisational assistance to the Executive Headteacher across both schools. It offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the leadership and smooth operation of our SEMH provision during a period of growth and development.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Managing a busy diary, scheduling meetings, and coordinating across multiple sites and stakeholders.
  • Preparing agendas, papers, minutes, and reports with accuracy and discretion.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, drafting correspondence, and liaising professionally with staff, parents, governors, and external partners.
  • Handling confidential information, recruitment admin, and compliance with data protection/safeguarding requirements.
  • Providing flexible operational support, including hybrid working and occasional out-of-hours during peak periods.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience as a PA or senior administrator, ideally in education, public sector, or a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and comfortable with digital tools.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, discretion, and strong safeguarding awareness.
  • Thrives in a hybrid/flexible environment, is proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Is committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, and supporting young people with SEND/SEMH needs.

We offer:

  • Flexible/hybrid working options to promote work-life balance.
  • Occupational pension scheme, sickness scheme, and health scheme benefits.
  • The chance to work in a values-driven Trust with a focus on trauma-informed practice, positive regard, and removing barriers to achievement.
  • Opportunities for professional development in a growing specialist MAT.

We look forward to hearing from candidates who are passionate about supporting our young people to thrive.

New Bridge MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding young people. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and references will be sought prior to interview. For all shortlisted candidates, an online search will also be carried out as part of our due diligence in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025.
