Salary: £32,916 - £45,352 per annum

You will need to:
- Maintain and continue to develop the Catholic ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom
- Ensure all children make good progress within the class
- Teach a class of pupils, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and emotional needs
- Contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors
- Carry out the professional duties of a class teacher in any area of the school, within the “Conditions of Employment of School Teachers”, as defined in the current “School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document” and to meet the DfE Teachers standards.
The Class Teacher will:
- Have a commitment to enriching the Catholic life of the school through inspirational prayer and liturgy and excellent RE teaching
- Be able to inspire and motivate children and colleagues by providing high quality teaching and learning experiences and by demonstrating a can-do, solution-focused attitude and a positive outlook
- Have an excellent understanding of the National Curriculum and contemporary pedagogy
- Have the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Be committed to their own professional development
- Have evidence of excellent classroom management and high expectations of all children’s learning and behaviour
- Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks;
- Be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning
- Provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils
- Keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning
- Report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
- Maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy
- Implement agreed school policies and guidelines
- Support initiatives decided by the Headteacher and staff
- Participate in meetings which relate to the school's management, curriculum, administration or organisation
- Lead, organise and direct support staff within the classroom
- Participate in the performance management system for the appraisal of their own performance, or that of other teachers
