Bedford High School Manchester Road Leigh WN7 2LU Salary: Grade 7, £28,630 - £31,937 per annum. 37 hours per week, term time plus two weeks working 40 weeks per year Hours: Monday Friday 8am 4pm including a 36 - minute unpaid break/lunch. Required for as soon as possible Bedford is looking for an experienced and dedicated Pastoral Guidance Officer to join a thriving pastoral team. Each year group benefits from a designated Pastoral Manager (head of year), pastoral guidance officer and SLT year link. The PGO team are managed by a lead PGO who provides full training and guidance in the role. This is a highly successful, impactful team in our school who know their students and enjoy excellent, fulfilling relationships with their cohorts. The successful candidate will be joining the school at an exciting time. Bedford High School is a mixed comprehensive school, which was judged “good” by Ofsted in 2023. The school is now full throughout KS3 and KS4 with a waiting list of families. Our school is based over 2 sites with excellent facilities which include our 3G pitch, beautiful green outside space, dedicated outside classroom and large Bistro food court area. Our students and staff also have access to a comprehensively fitted onsite gym and second food court area and building work is currently underway to expand our English facilities.
