Social Workers - Family Safeguarding Service, Blackpool

Make a real difference. Shape a better future.

Children and families are at the centre of everything we do - and we’re looking for passionate Social Workers who share that commitment.

If you’re skilled in assessments, Child Protection, CIN planning, PLO work and building strong, trusting relationships with families, we want to meet you. You’ll bring creativity, professional curiosity and a strengths-based approach to helping children stay safely within their families and communities.

Why Blackpool?

We believe in working with families, not doing things to them.
We focus on:

  • Child-centred, whole-family support
  • Consistent, honest, relationship-based practice
  • Multi-agency collaboration
  • Managing intervention at the lowest safe level
  • Learning, improving and doing what works

What we offer

  • Manageable caseloads in small, supportive teams
  • Dedicated induction and reflective supervision
  • Clear career pathways from ASYE to senior leadership
  • Excellent training and development
  • Flexible working and generous annual leave
  • Relocation package up to £8,000
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • SW England registration fee paid
  • A leadership team that is visible, accessible and invested in you

With strong transport links, a growing housing market and a council committed to improving outcomes for children, there’s never been a better time to join us.

If you’re driven, compassionate and ready to make a real impact, Blackpool could be your next step.
