Waste Resources Officer

Contract: Temporary (16 months)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Scale 3 SCP5-6 £25,583 - £25,989 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Waste Resources Officer to join our team at Snowdon Road Depot. This role will be to support the Waste Services team in delivering high standards of administrative duties relating to all waste, recycling and amenity services for the borough.

This presents an opportunity to work in a multi-functional, performance-based environment and engagement with the Fylde community.

Job Description

The Waste Services team are responsible for:

• Delivery of the waste policies and procedures
• Operating waste and recycling collections and amenity services
• Monitoring and education of waste prevention
• Promoting participation in waste reduction and recycling initiatives
• Managing commercial waste contracts
• Delivery of high standards of maintenance within public conveniences

The successful applicant

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Sound understanding of computers and experience of using a variety of systems
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Proven track record of working as part of a team with the ability to work using own initiative
• Excellent communication skills and experienced in dealing with customer enquiries
• Experience of assisting with the development and delivery of projects and initiatives
• Positive attitude and actively champions success
