Midday Assistant Scale 1 point 3 £2,866
Hours: Teaching Assistant 15 hrs p/wk. Monday-Friday 8.55am-11.55am
Midday Assistant 5 hrs p/wk. Monday -Friday 11.55am-12.55pm
Working Pattern: Term time only
Contract type: Fixed until August 2026

Vernon Park Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our energetic and proactive team, working within Key Stage 2 with individuals and small groups.
The successful candidate will be required to confidently support teaching and learning activities across the National Curriculum years; Years 3 to 6.
Experience of delivering intervention programmes eg SALT, Narrative and Motor Skills United are desirable.

The Midday Assistant role includes supporting children with hygiene in preparation for their lunch, supervising children whilst they eat their lunch and helping younger children. A key part of the role is the ability to supervise the children in their play and being able to manage a class during wet playtimes.
