The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Assistant Director for Adults Commissioning and Transformation to lead a critical portfolio during a period of organisational development while permanent recruitment takes place. You will provide strategic leadership across Adult Social Care (ASC) commissioning, market shaping, service redesign, and transformation programmes that improve outcomes for adults and carers.

What You’ll Bring

• A proven track record of strategic leadership for ASC commissioning and transformation.
• Experience in leading the commissioning cycle including needs assessment, coproduction, market shaping, procurement and evaluation.
• The ability to drive ASC transformation programmes and strength-based service models.
• Ability to develop and influence highquality, sustainable ASC provider markets.
• Ability to oversee contract performance, quality assurance and risk management.
• Experience of working collaboratively with partners including ICB, VCFSE and providers.

About You

You will be a senior ASC commissioning leader with a proven track record in delivering largescale transformation, strong partnership working, and highquality commissioning outcomes. Experience at Head of Service or Assistant Director level is essential.
