We are looking for enthusiastic Social Workers to join a number of our busy Integrated Neighbourhood Teams in North, Central and South Manchester.
This Social Worker role includes undertaking Care Act assessments, support planning, reviewing services, acting as the duty worker alongside a manager, completing home visits, assessing mental capacity and making best interest decisions, assessing and managing risk, undertaking enquiries under s. 42 of the Care Act and holding a busy and complex caseload - all working alongside allied health and community colleagues; and citizens and carers.
Applicants should be able to maintain accurate and detailed records, be motivated and forward-thinking and demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm. They should have good knowledge of IT systems and adequate IT skills to record and update information.
These role holders will work to provide direct support for individuals and families in accordance with statutory responsibilities and local and national policies and procedures in order to secure positive outcomes for Manchester residents.
The INTs are diverse and include staff with a range of knowledge and experience - applicants should demonstrate open-mindedness in terms of growth and learning alongside peers and their managers.
