Transactions Financial Officer

We’re looking for a motivated and detailfocused Transactional Finance Officer to join our Financial Shared Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver highquality financial processes that sit at the heart of TfGM’s operations.

Your Role

As part of our Financial Shared Services function, you’ll help manage and deliver bank, cash, and accounts receivable transactions, while also providing support to our payments team. You’ll ensure that all financial activity is processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with required regulations and deadlines.

You’ll oversee daily and annual cash and treasury management, complete reconciliations, support the production of VAT returns, and maintain clear, auditready financial records. You’ll produce monthly and annual reports, resolve queries, and work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to keep processes running smoothly. You’ll also support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen efficiency and compliance across shared services.

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring strong experience of working with computerised accounting systems, spreadsheets and databases, alongside a sound understanding of VAT, financial controls and relevant regulations. You’ll be confident managing reconciliations, analysing data, and working with high levels of accuracy, even when under pressure or working to tight deadlines.

You’ll communicate clearly, build positive relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners, and approach challenges with a proactive and solutionfocused mindset. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative shared services team.

This is a permanent role with a salary of £36,093 - £41,161 depending on skills and experience.
