About the Role

As a Class Teacher at Shawclough, you will:

  • Deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of your pupils, aligned with the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel safe, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and leadership to share best practice and support pupil progress.
  • Monitor and assess pupil development, setting clear targets and providing constructive feedback.
  • Play a full role in the pastoral care of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Contribute actively to the life of the school community, embracing our ethos and supporting school events and initiatives.
  • Engage in your own professional development, continuously enhancing your teaching skills and educational knowledge.
