Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Grade K SCP 44 £55,691 - SCP 47 £60,036 Hours Per Week: 36 hours Base Location: Guardsman Tony Downes House, Droylsden Assessment Date: To be arranged The Role Greater Manchester Pension Fund is the largest Local Government Pension Scheme in the UK with total current assets under management of £28 billion. It exists to provide pensions to over 375,000 people who work for the ten local authorities in Greater Manchester and other organisations such as the National Probation Service, academy schools and housing associations. GMPF prides itself on providing innovative, cost-effective and responsible investment opportunities that deliver returns over the long-term. GMPF currently manages a total real estate portfolio of over £3 billion. This is allocated across UK, international and local investment allocations. The fund has been a highly active investor over the past 2 years, making over £1 billion of commitments. These investments have been made in partnership with some of the world’s most prominent investment institutions and has been across all asset classes. There is a need for further capital to be deployed across all allocations. This is a particularly exciting time to join one of the largest real estate asset owners in the UK. The roles will provide significant and unrivalled experience and exposure to the successful applicant. About You We are seeking two Investment Managers to assist and support the Head of Real Assets with the management of the fund’s real estate portfolios in UK and overseas. The successful candidates will be involved in investment deployment and monitoring and direct asset management. These are pivotal roles within the organisation which will grow and develop over time.
