Contract - Casual Hours - As and When Required Salary- £13.69 Per Hour Seasonal Beach Patrol Officer Vacancy Blackpool We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work as part of the Council’s Beach Patrol team at Blackpool for 2026 This is a seasonal post for the summer (July &August mainly, but there maybe additional work early and late season) You must be confident in your abilities and possess an up-to-date RLSS National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification or willing to attend an RLSS NVBLQ course that we will be running early summer. Assessment Details - 15–20-minute interview - Physical Assessment – Incident response exercise - Timed 1 mile run – 8-minute minimum - Timed 400m swim – 8-minute minimum Assessment Dates – 7th April 2026 - 8:00am - Swim test at Palatine Leisure Centre - 10am – Interview slots will commence, with subsequent run and incident response exercise all held at Beach Patrol Headquarters You will need to bring with you:- - Your relevant qualification certificates (e.g. your NVBLQ plus others) - Sports attire for swimming and running - Passport, Driving Licence, proof of current address along with two references to view the Job Description. This post is subject to satisfactory reference history of at least two years, Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of Right to Work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
