We now have a vacancy of Library and Information Assistant to provide a customer focused point of contact for the pubic on all matters relating to the work of the library service.

This is a permanent position.

It is based predominantly in the Irlam and Cadishead area Libraries. But you will be expected to work at any library across the City when required.

As part of this role you will be delivering our weekly Books and Rhymes sessions for the under 5’s. You will also be expected to facilitate other children's activities.

You will provide day-to-day hands-on support for colleagues and partners in the delivery of projects, activities and events which underpin service priorities and meet the needs of all sections of the community. For example class visits, coffee mornings, craft groups etc.

The working hours are 15 per week as follows:

Monday - 9am to 5.30pm
Tuesday - 9am to 5.30pm
