An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Best Start Family Hub Early Years SEND Outreach teacher within the Start Well service. This is a key role supporting our network of Best Start Family Hubs to deliver an exceptional, family friendly experience for parents and carers of SEND children and those with emerging need across the borough.

You will provide support, advice and training to our parents and carers, enabling them to access the right help at the right time. You will offer high quality guidance and signposting for families working collaboratively with a range of professionals including Start Well SEND Team

You will co-produce activities and opportunities for our SEND families that meet needs and improve outcomes for our families, as well as supporting families to access educational opportunities.

This post is office based across the eight Best Start Family Hubs and an essential car user allowance is payable as boroughwide travel is required between different Hubs and to other community-based location
About You
Are you an enthusiastic advocate for parents and carers and appreciate the barriers many families face?
Are you confident to deliver Best Start Family Hub sessions and programmes for SEND families and professionals guided by need?

Do you value co-production and are you an active listener?

Are you an advocate of early preventative work in early years SEND?

Do you like working as part of a team, sharing ideas and strategies, and are you passionate about professional development?

Are you passionate about early years education, early years SEND and the impact that working in partnership with families, parents, and carers can make to give children the Best Start in Life?

Are you an excellent Early Years Lead and an experienced SENCO within Early Years?

We are looking for an influencer who can work effectively and innovatively with a range of partners across early education and within the context of Belonging in Bolton and the SEND Code of Practice.

You will be a strong communicator who can actively promote early identification and early intervention through inclusive integrated care and education for all children from birth to 5 years and strengthen the knowledge of the early years workforce.
