Fylde Borough Council is seeking a committed and organised Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) Officer to support the delivery of a significant government-funded programme aimed at helping residents experiencing financial hardship, whilst strengthening community resilience across the borough.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering practical support to residents, working closely with partners, and contributing to a more joined-up, preventative approach to community support.
About the Role
As CRF Officer, you will:
Coordinate and administer the Government’s Crisis and Resilience Fund programme locally
Assess applications, determine eligibility, and manage cases in line with national guidance
Monitor and manage programme budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Produce monitoring reports, financial returns, and audit information for internal and external requirements
Work closely with partners including advice agencies, community organisations, housing services and the wider voluntary sector
Support residents experiencing financial hardship through outreach, drop-in sessions, and community-based activity
Contribute to the development of local support schemes and resilience initiatives
Maintain accurate records and ensure data is handled securely and in line with legislation
Identify emerging trends and issues to inform service planning and future delivery
Respond flexibly to service need, including occasional evening or weekend work where required
This role is central to Fylde’s approach to early intervention, partnership working, and supporting residents in a more coordinated and sustainable way.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Essential
Five GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
Experience of administering financial support, grants, or funded programmes
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Ability to interpret guidance and apply eligibility criteria consistently and accurately
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using databases or case management systems
Understanding of data protection and handling confidential information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively with vulnerable residents
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
Experience working with vulnerable individuals or communities
Knowledge of welfare benefits or hardship support schemes
Experience within local government or a public sector environment
Training in safeguarding and/or GDPR
Experience contributing to service improvement or programme development
