Front of House Assistant

Location: This role will be based at Salford Museum and Art Gallery

Working pattern: Saturday and Sunday, 11.15 - 4.15pm, an enhancement is paid for weekend working hours.

There are major ongoing health challenges and inequalities within the city and an ambitious set of strategies have been developed to tackle them. Physical exercise, creativity, learning and community development have been identified to change peoples lives for the better.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Will help create and maintain a welcoming environment for our visitors, assist with enquiries and talk to them about the exhibitions
• Will assist in opening and locking the building, preparing the museum for visitors and in the general care and security of the collections
• Will assist on the reception, in the shop and café
• Will help promote events and activities at museum sites and assist at events run from the Museum and Art Gallery
• Consistently demonstrates SCL’s behaviours

Shortlisting will take place on: 14th April 2026

Interviews will take place on: 16th/17th April 2026
