We are seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate HLTA Speech, Language and Communication with Safeguarding Role for our SEND Unit, which is opening in September 2026 at Crosslee Community Primary School.

The specialist area of need for our SEND Unit will be Communication and Interaction.

Crosslee is part of the CLIC Co-operative Trust with 7 other primary schools (all based in Greater Manchester).

We are looking for someone with:

  • Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and evidence of speech, language and communication and safeguarding training.
  • Experience of planning and leading teaching and learning activities and knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs.
  • Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding.
  • Motivation to continually improve standards.
  • Passion and self-motivation.
  • The ability to work as a team and alongside other professionals.
