We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can:

  • Plan, deliver and assess tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN.
  • Create a trauma informed safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents/carers, and external agencies.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt strategies as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of working in a school setting with children with SEN.
  • Experience in EYFS is preferential.
  • Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills.
  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High aspirations for all learners.
  • High standards in their own professional conduct.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding children.

Interviews will consist of a 30-minute observation, followed by a 10-minute unseen presentation and an interview. Visits to the school are strongly recommended. There will be a group visit on 5th May at 3pm. Please email enquiries@admin.willowgrove.wigan.sch.uk to book a place. If this is not convenient, please contact the school to arrange an alternative time and date.
