About the Team The Greater Manchester Safer and Stronger Communities team operates at the frontline of public safety for one of the UK’s largest cityregions. Led by Deputy Mayor Kate Green, the team shapes regional priorities across policing, crime, criminal justice and fire services, influencing decisions that affect millions of people. This is a highprofile, fastmoving environment where you’ll work closely with senior leaders and partners, support bold regional ambitions, and be part of work that genuinely makes Greater Manchester safer and stronger. The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safer and Stronger Communities Team in a varied and fastpaced support role. As a Project and Policy Support Officer, you will provide highquality project, policy and administrative support to help deliver the priorities of the Deputy Mayor’s portfolio. You will support the smooth running of programmes, governance arrangements and partnership activity, helping to ensure work is wellcoordinated, deadlines are met, and decisions are supported by clear and accurate information. You will work closely with senior officers, policy leads and partner organisations across policing, criminal justice, local authorities and the voluntary and community sector. Your role will be central to keeping work on track, coordinating activity, and supporting effective delivery across the Safer and Stronger Communities agenda.
