Springside School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced Administrator Level 2 (Receptionist).

Applicants must:

  • Possess or be willing to work towards GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade A*- C or Level 9-4, or an alternative Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Have experience of a wide range of administration and financial work.
  • Have experience of using computer packages, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Have an excellent telephone manner
  • Be able to liaise with parents and visitors to the school both face to face, email and telephone.

Springside is a new-build special school co-located with a mainstream primary school.

The reception is shared between both schools the position and involves taking calls on behalf of both schools. The working hours are set between 8.00am and 12.00pm Monday to Friday (4 hours per day).

Applicants must have an understanding of the work of a school with a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection while working within a school setting.

Applicants should also have a good understanding of data protection and maintaining confidentiality.

Excellent communication skills are a necessity for the role as you will be covering Reception duties and liaising with parents and visitors to the school.
