CLEANER

Required from: As soon as possible, Fixed Term, Part Time until 28th August 2026
Total hours per week: 16 hours 15 minutes per week, all year round (Mondays to Fridays 3 hours 15 minutes per day 4pm 7.15pm)
Grade: A point 3
Salary: £11,396.52

Primary purpose of the job: To ensure that all areas of the nursery are clean and tidy to a very high standard.

Directly responsible to: Day Care Manager/Headteacher

Principle Responsibilities:

We are seeking to appoint a Cleaner that is passionate about cleanliness. Your duties will include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing and toilet cleaning. You will work alongside another cleaner to ensure that every room, corridor, wall and door are clean to the highest standard.

Main responsibilities include:

Vacuuming, brushing & mopping the floors
Emptying the rubbish bins
Cleaning the nursery & staff toilets
Replenishing consumable items if required
Clean inside windows & door handles
Mix & dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately
Locking up the building

Essential Skills:

Ability to handle cleaning equipment
Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours
Excellent communication skills & the ability to work as a team
Self motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team
Candidates must have
Cleaning experience

Some overtime may be available.
