Responsible to School Business Manager
GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above, an administrative qualification equivalent to Level 2, and a strong standard of written and oral language skills.
Previous experience in a wide range of administrative tasks, ideally within a school setting, including minute-taking and basic financial processes.
Excellent IT knowledge and literacy, including experience with data input/extraction and ideally school management information systems (such as Arbor or Access).
The ability to handle situations with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy, and a flexible approach to supporting students and families.
A valid First Aid qualification (or a willingness to work towards one) and a solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and GDPR compliance.
As an Office Administrator, you will be a central figure in our school office, responsible for:
Acting as the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
Managing student attendance records, supporting the admissions process, and generating routine reports for the Senior Leadership Team.
Assisting with the administration of school meals, educational visits, parent evenings, and after-school club programmes.
Providing basic first aid and welfare support to students, ensuring their safety and well-being in line with school policies.
Band 3 (Scale 6-11), £25,989 - £28,142.
This is a term-time position plus INSET days, allowing for a schedule that aligns with the school year.
We are committed to your growth, providing ongoing training in school management systems and mandatory sessions in areas like Safeguarding and Cyber Security.
You will actively participate in the school’s performance management process, helping you identify and achieve your personal training needs and professional goals.
You will work closely with administrative colleagues and the School Business Manager to share best practices and streamline office procedures.
