The Governors and Headteacher of Beever Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, excellent classroom practitioner to join our dedicated staffing team from September 2026 on a fixed term contract for the 2026-2027 academic year.


Serving an area close to the centre of Oldham, Beever Primary School works with parents to encourage each child to fulfil their potential by means of high standards within a broad and well-rounded education. Beever aims to equip each child with skills, attitudes and values to develop them into responsible citizens. Pupils learn effectively in a safe, secure, high-quality environment where there is a happy, positive and inclusive school culture.

The post is open to ECTs and experienced teachers. ECT appointees will receive induction during the Summer term. This will be for up to 4 weeks, working alongside an experienced class teacher with the support of a mentor. It will be paid at unqualified teacher rate. The purpose of the induction is to fully prepare for the ECT year by further developing teaching skills in context and to receive training in school-specific systems and procedures such as;

  • Power Maths
  • Read Write Inc Phonics
  • Curriculum and Assessment


The recruitment process will involve a lesson observation, a set task and an interview.
