We are determined that Lostock High will continue to develop as a popular school of choice for our community. Our SEND Team has a history of outstanding care and high expectations. We pride ourselves on engaging pupils, making learning exciting and rewarding, and on our tenacity. You will join a strong team of individuals who are committed to improving life chances for young people, and who believe in preparing pupils not just for exams, but for life. We want all of our students to achieve their potential, and we make sure that there are no limitations or barriers to reaching the highest possible standards of academic, social and personal development. We wish to appoint an outstanding L3 Teaching Assistant with the passion and experience to lead interventions for students with SEMH needs, to raise standards in attainment and achievement and improve outcomes for all students. We are seeking someone to actively work with pupils and parents to intervene where there are issues surrounding behaviour. We have a high proportion of children with additional needs, and we are looking for a positive role model to act as an ambassador for these young people and their families, in conjunction with our dedicated staff and senior leadership teams. We are looking for commitment to improving life chances for young people, as well as commitment to your own professional development. You will be well supported by the SENDCo, Head of Departments and Senior Leadership Team who are focused on teaching and learning, and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure your individual needs are met. Our school is a lively and exciting place to work. We truly live by our motto of Inspire, Transform, Succeed.
