Class Teacher Responsibility

Governors are seeking to appoint a motivated, innovative and committed class-based teacher to the post of Assistant Headteacher, who will take an active partnership role with the Headteacher in leading the school forward.

Friezland is a smaller-than-average school, located in Saddleworth, at the foothills of the Pennines. It is highly regarded as a very happy, inclusive and welcoming school where staff and families enjoy good relationships as they work together to provide an excellent education for every child. Applicants must have the necessary skills to ensure that all children reach their potential whilst delivering excellent classroom practice.

• Can lead by example as a teacher, with a proven track record of achieving high standards of pupil motivation, attainment and behaviour
• Sets high expectations and ensures that pupils fulfil their potential
• Has excellent communication skills and enjoys the challenges of working in a school environment
• Is organised, pro-active and highly motivated
• Can lead, motivate, support, challenge and develop staff
• Is committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders in the best interests of the pupils
• Takes responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the school
